May traditions raise cash for nursing home

SOME old traditions were honoured at the May Day celebration at Horncastle's Tanglewood nursing home, including the judging of the May Queen and a show of strength in the tug of war contest.
“It was a lovely event and the weather was glorious,” said entertainments officer Jeanette Stevenson. “People who came along supported the event very well.”

All money raised will go towards the residents’ fund.
