SHOW - Mareham Le Fen Village Hall holds the annual Flower, Fruit and Vegetable Show 2009 on Saturday, July 18.
Class schedules are available from Sue Beacham on 01507 568658 or from the Village Post Office.


Staging of entries is on the morning of the show between 8am and 10am.


Entries should be submitted this year by July 16 to Brya Seymour, Puddle, Watery Lane.



Anyone can view the entries in the afternoon from 2pm, watch the presentations and enjoy the refreshments available.


Trophies are awarded for flowers, pot plants, fruit, vegetable, novelty and children's section plus of course cookery, preserves and Victoria sandwich, with the coveted Blackbourn Trophies for the overall winners with most points in the show.




CONCERT - Tickets are also still available for the open air concert being given by The Royal Anglian Regimental Band and Drum Corps on the village green in front of St Helen's Church on Tuesday, August 4.


Gates open at 6pm and the concert starts at 7pm. Tickets are £5 from the post office, Clark's Butcher or Harbour Lights Fish Shop, or by calling 01507 568061.


Bring your own seats and picnic and enjoy the memorable experience, if last year's concert is anything to go by you will never forget it.
