THE garden at Poplar Farm, Blankney Fen, will be open in aid of the Horncastle and Woodhall Spa area group of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust on Sunday, July 13.
Poplar Farm is a wildlife garden set in a three-acre smallholding, with flower borders, herbs, vegetables and orchard.

Visitors are invited to take a picnic lunch and make a day of it. There are footpaths, peaceful surroundings and open views to enjoy, possibly even the sighting of a marsh harrier soaring overhead.

Teas and homemade cakes will be available, as well as a plant stall.

The garden will be well signposted off B1189 and B1191/Witham Road for the event, on July 13 from 11.30am to 5pm. Two other gardens open in the vicinity for St John Ambulance are Labourer's Cottage, Blankney Barf, and 10 Moor Lane, Martin, both from 2-5pm.
