PRESIDENT of Coningsby and Tattershall Lions, Mike Phillips, welcomed visitors to their September meeting.
He then carried out a very important induction ceremony for his wife Pat, the newest member of the club.
Members discussed the request for help from Tanglewood for help with sensory equipment and a home equipment system to benefit the residents. It was agreed to help, probably with the Tea Dance to be held on November 1.
Results of the 100 Club for September were: 1 Kumar Patel, 2 Stan Avison, 3 H Culy.
The quiz night was a success and, including a donation from the club, £100 was donated to the Orchid Cancer Appeal.
The bridge day also went down well and made £187 for the club's charity fund.
The free raffle held at Tattershall Somerfield and Coningsby Co-Op went well with a large number of people showing an interest in Lions.
Arrangements have been made for a lunch and beetle drive on November 15 at Coningsby Community Hall.
Arrive at 12pm for 12.30 for the lunch and 1.30pm to 3.30pm for beetle drive. All welcome.
The next meeting is on October 12 at the Fortescue Arms at 7.30pm for 8pm. All welcome.
Details: 01526 342036.
