CONINGSBY Show takes place on September 13 at the community hall and keen show-goers will be busy keeping an eye on their fruit and vegetables, protecting their flowers and trying out new recipes Schedules are now available in Coningsby and Tattershall post offices, Richard Sivill's Gallery, or from any show committee member.
There will not be a sunflower competition this year but there will be an art competition open to all ages, in any media and any size.
The scarecrow competition takes place again and this year the theme is a static model of an alien Creature or a s
paceman.
There are a few spaces for charity stalls outside the hall and the best dressed will win a trophy.
There is lots to do in the children’s classes for various age ranges - plenty to keep them busy in the summer holiday.
BATS and moths will be the focus at a special open evening at the Coningsby Pingle nature reserve on Friday, July 18.
The bat and moth evening will start at around 9pm when the Friends of the Pingle will set up their lights and prepare traps to catch some of the wonderful selection of creatures that occupy the reserve.
All are welcome to attend the event but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Go along and support the team that organises these events and looks after the Pingle for the enjoyment of everyone in the area.
