CO-ORDINATOR Colin Haywood welcomed members to the sixth AGM of Coningsby and Tattershall First Responders.
A big thank you went to Rachel Waller who has just resigned after being a founder member working quietly on administration from day one.

Thanks also went to Jim Wood and Roy Ireland who carry out the thankless task of training ensuring that patien
ts get the right care as laid down by LIVES HQ protocols.

Colin stressed that the role of the group is to go and help those individuals within the community who have felt the need to ring the emergency services for help.

"It is important that we never, never, lose sight of the reason why we are Responders," he said
"We do it because we want to help in the community.
"And to the community who support the group with donations and support I say thank you, and please carry on because without your help the group could not carry on".

The group went live in March 2003 and since then has attended many hundreds of call-outs - well over 100 per year - within the combined villages.

To show appreciation Tattershall Parish Council has awarded the group the annual Manning Trophy and it will be presented at the council dinner in May.
