The inspectors, who visited the school in March, praised the many improvements the school has made since its last inspection in 2003, including the quality of teaching, provision for reception children and in teaching art.

They praised the close links the school has with Tattershall Castle and the interesting opportunities made available for the pupils to learn through clubs, music and art.

The school has also taken on board advice from the inspectors on how they could reach higher levels in reading, writing, mathematics and science, and how to ensure those who learn quickly and easily can reach higher levels.
Headteacher Rebecca Mayfield said everyone at the school was pleased with the report:

"Everyone in our school community - staff, governors, parents and children – is very pleased with our Ofsted report as it reflects the hard work and loyalty to the school of everyone associated with it during a time of great change in our local area following the sale of the former RAF houses on Clinton Park Estate.
"The report accurately reflects the school's own view of its strengths and areas for development and we will continue to work hard to address those areas that need improving, for the benefit of all the children who come here to learn and enjoy their primary school years."
