CONINGSBY and Tattershall Lions Club is hoping to stage a free fun day at Gartree School on June 28.

The event is run with Woodhall Spa Rotary Club and is aimed at children and youngsters of all ages.

Games are likely to include football, rugby, welly throwing, horseshoe and golf games, skittles, speed tennis, bowls, archery, a wheelchair race and more.
Any charity within the combined villages is welcome to have a stall on the day.

The club will also be holding its annual golf competition on June 21 at RAF Coningsby Golf Club.
Money raised from the club's Easter egg raffle amounted to £800 and this will be added to its funds for local charities.
Although part of an international network of 1.3 million men and women, each Lions Club meets the needs of its own community.

* If you know of anyone, or any group, that is in need and the Lions may be able to help, or for details on the above events, call the secretary on 01526 342036.

* The group meets each second Monday at the Fortescue Arms, Tattershall, from 7.30 for 8.00pm. All welcome.
