A CALL was made for allotment gardens to be set up in Coningsby at the town council's June meeting.
David Macdonald, who lives in Coningsby, said he knows of three or four people who are interested in renting allotments.

He spoke to councillors during the public forum and said he had tried to find an allotment but the nearest ones are in Horncastle and they have a four-year waiting list.
PC Duncan Bustin also gave a report to members about police activities in the last month.

He said 15 vehicle owners had been issued with Section 59 warnings for anti-social behaviour on the roads and one of them had his car seized after he re-offended.
A man had been arrested for lead theft and two cars had been seized because their drivers did not have insurance for them.
PC Bustin said youngsters had attended a successful meeting at Gartree School to discuss driving skills, anti-social behaviour, drugs and alcohol.

He said there had been no incidents reported of alcohol-fuelled, anti-social behaviour.
Councillors are to look into extra security for the Allan Barker Pavilion after recent vandal attacks led to a repair bill of £410.
