Doreen Margaret Fidling
Doreen Margaret Fidling
IT was with such sadness that family, friends and neighbours heard of the death of Doreen Margaret Fidling, who passed away at Louth Hospital, aged 78.
Doreen was born on the Bardney Road in Wragby, an only child, but spending all her childhood in Wragby and attending the local school, she made many friends.
She met Nigel Fidling and the couple married at All Saints Church in Wragby on September 15, 1956, and for the first time in her life she moved from the village to Horncastle, where they set up home for three years. It was also here their son David was born.
Moving back to Wragby in 1959, she worked in various shops and the post office before retiring in 1994 after working at the local Co-op for 20 years.
Nigel passed away a number of years ago and Doreen took great comfort in the support from her lifelong friends and family.
She was very well liked and respected by all and her family meant so much to her – a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who will be so sadly missed by so many.
The service of thanksgiving for her life was held at All Saints Church in Wragby, officiated by the Rev Mark Holden, and followed by cremation at Lincoln.
