THE charity Oasis, established in 2000, has services which cover the entirety of Lincolnshire, and is now able to offer a regular support session in Horncastle.

The NHS support service, taking place in the Methodist Chapel runs on an appointment only basis and deals with the problems individuals face due to the isolation created through the stigma of having problems with drink and drugs.

The service specialises in educating the public about the problems associated with drink and drugs, particularly with the ‘legal highs’ which are so readily available to young people, bereavement through substance misuse and support for grandparents who are caring for children because their parents have problems with drink or drugs.

Oasis is also available to give information about the different treatment services which are available around the country.
