Lincs loaf a plum job for final

A WOODHALL Spa woman is in the running for a major award after coming up with a rather unusual twist on the famous Lincolnshire Plum Loaf.

Charlotte Jones has enterted ingredients used in a plum loaf in a competition run by Thorntons to discover a new national chocolate.

Her “Lincolnshire Plum Treat” - which is a milk chocolate with a mix of prunes, sultanas, spices and flavours of earl grey tea based on Lincolnshire Plum Loaf - has reached the Midlands final.

Charlotte is hoping as many people as possible will vote for her creation and take her through to a place in the national final.

One overall winner will be announced during Chocolate Week in October and as well as winning a year’s supply of chocolate, the winning chocolate will be launched by the company.

Voting is taking place online at www.thorntons.co.uk/greatchocolatebritain
