Bands helps launch Poppy Appeal
The Mareham Le Fen Silver Band will be aiming to hit the high notes when they perform at the launch of Lincolnshire’s 2012 Poppy Appeal this Saturday.
The event will be held at the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre in East Kirkby.
The service will start with the entry of standards and people wishing to attend are asked to be seated by 10.45am.
Afterwards, there will be a taxi run by a Lancaster and the programme will feature the Centre’s first poppy drop from Avro Lancaster NX611.
Meanwhile, the Silver Band will also be playing is St Helen’s Church at this year’s Remembrance Day service on Sunday, November 11.
